Allocation of Frequencies for Satellite Terrestrial Stations
Satellite terrestrial stations are fixed stations for voice and data communication with satellite systems.
The radio frequencies allocated to satellite applications in the General Act on Radio Frequency Utilisation Plan may be used for this purpose. The transmitting frequency can only be used in applications designated for the Earth – space direction.
The Agency begins the procedure of allocating radio frequencies after receiving an application, then issues a decision on allocating radio frequencies (DARF), with which use is permitted on a particular frequency channel. Also specified are: modulation, fixed location, transmission direction (azimuth and elevation), as well as minimum requirements regarding the technical parameters.
