Amateur Radio Call Signs

A radio amateur is a person using radio frequencies for self-education, communication, and technical research. Anyone who wants to become a radio amateur must first pass an exam at the Association of Radio Amateurs of Slovenia. Then they must acquire a license issued by the Agency. With the license, every radio amateur gets a unique call sign.

Radio amateurs may use frequencies which have been allocated for amateur radio or amateur radio satellite application under the General act on the plan of frequency use. Radio amateurs must always use their call signs to identify themselves in the system.
