Allocation of frequencies for point-to-point connections
Microwave point-to-point links are directed connections between predetermined fixed locations in the frequency bands above 1GHz. Systems are used for the distribution of radio programs to transmission points, for mobile communication base station connections, for connections between fixed telephony exchanges, and for data and voice connections between fixed locations in private systems.
It is allowed to use radio frequencies specified in the General Act on Radio Frequency Utilisation Plan that are allocated for fixed point-to-point applications.
The Agency begins the procedure of allocating radio frequencies after receiving an application, then issues a decision on allocating radio frequencies (ODRF), with which use is permitted on a particular frequency channel. Also specified are: modulation, fixed location, transmission direction (azimuth and elevation), as well as minimum demands regarding the technical parameters.
