Traditional television has remained the viewers’ first choice and maintained an important role in disseminating media content, even though the so-called smart TV, which supports internet access and video-on-demand, has lately been on the rise.
The Agency’s key tasks in this area comprise:

providing conditions for television programming development,

performing expert supervision of programming content in accordance with the Mass Media Act, and, since November 2011, also performing inspections into programming content and compliance with advertising rules in accordance with the Act on Audiovisual Media Services,

protecting children from harmful content.
